Dr Matthew Koomson is an esteemed obstetrics and gynaecology consultant with a special interest in maternal medicine, appointed at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2009. Dr. Koomson has spearheaded the establishment of a dedicated antenatal maternal medicine clinic, where he brings over a decade of expertise to the forefront of caring for pregnant women with pre-existing medical conditions.

Dr. Koomson’s extensive experience extends to providing comprehensive pre-pregnancy counselling in collaboration with local and external multidisciplinary teams. Notably, his contributions to advancing maternal healthcare were recognized at the London 2021 RCOG International Congress, where his epilepsy in pregnancy audit garnered the prestigious Best E-Poster Award.
